What is RNA?

Ribonucleic acid, abbreviated as RNA,It is a genetic information carrier in biological cells, some viruses and Viroid. RNA is condensed by ribonucleotides through Phosphodiester bond to form long chain molecules. It is a very important biological molecule that can be used to store and transmit genetic information to control cell activity, and can be used to construct proteins. There are also many functions, including transcription, protein synthesis, messenger RNA, regulatory RNA, etc.

A ribonucleotide molecule consists of phosphoric acid, ribose, and base. There are four bases of RNA, namely, A (Adenine), G (Guanine), C (Cytosine), and U (Uracil). U (Uracil) replaces T (Thymine) in DNA. The main function of ribonucleic acid in the body is to guide protein synthesis.

One cell of human body contains about 10pg of ribonucleic acid, and there are many kinds of ribonucleic acids, with small molecular weight and large content changes, which can play the role of transcription. It can transcribe the information of DNA into ribonucleic acid sequence, so as to control cell activities and better control protein synthesis.

The function of RNA

Because ribonucleic acid has important significance for the human body, when abnormal ribonucleic acid is found during examination, it is necessary to go to the hospital for relevant examinations in a timely manner, clarify the specific cause, and treat it under the guidance of a doctor.

RNA powder

Firstly, RNA plays a decisive role in the translation of genetic information.

Secondly, RNA has important catalytic function and other housekeeping functions (housekeeping function is the basic function of batch cells (including viruses), such as structural RNA of Prokaryote chromosomes, assembly RNA of bacteriophages, etc.).

Thirdly, RNA transcription processing and modification rely on various types of small RNAs and their protein complexes.

Fourthly, RNA plays an important regulatory role in gene expression and cellular function.

Fifth, RNA plays an important role in the evolution of organisms. The discovery of ribozymes indicates that RNA is both an information molecule and a functional molecule, and RNA may have emerged first in the early stages of the origin of life.
