Function and Application
Low concentration: NMNH can significantly increase NAD+at a concentration 10 times lower than the required concentration for NMN, and within 500 μ The supplementary concentration of M has reached the plateau period. At this concentration, the NAD+concentration of NMNH increased by nearly 10 times, while NMN could only double the NAD+content in these cells.
Fast speed: NMNH is a faster precursor that can cause a significant increase in NAD+levels within 15 minutes. After supplementing with NMNH, NAD+steadily increased for up to 6 hours and remained stable for 24 hours, while NMN only reached its plateau after 1 hour, possibly due to the saturation of the NMN recovery pathway NAD+.
The results showed that NMNH supplementation increased the NAD+content in all these cell types and was more effective than NMN at the same concentration. NMNH protects renal tubular epithelial cells from hypoxia/reoxygenation injury (a key indicator of ischemic acute kidney injury (AKI)) by enhancing repair. Researchers also found that compared to NMN, NMNH can increase NAD+levels in various tissues, with the liver (5-fold increase) and kidneys (2-fold increase) having the greatest impact. NMNH also significantly increased the levels of NAD+in the brain, gastrocnemius muscle, brown adipose tissue, and heart, which NMN cannot achieve.
